In her early career, she frequently performed as a guest harpist with C.Y.C. Wind Orchestra and Sirens Symphonic Winds. Currently, she focuses primarily on teaching harp.

She is currently an adjunct at Chang Gung University’s Center for General Education.

Alongside various solo and chamber music performances, she frequently collaborates with renowned orchestras, including the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, the Macao Orchestra, and the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, among others.

With a wealth of teaching experience, she has participated in various commercial performances and has taught at both Yamaha music schools and private studios. She has organized multiple student recitals, providing a platform for her students to showcase their talents. Additionally, she guides students through certification examinations, helping them achieve their musical goals and build confidence in their abilities.

She has performed in charitable events like the "Hundred Harps, Million Hearts" concert and the "Centenary of the Republic of China" marathon concert. Additionally, she has served as principal harpist for the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra's Youth Wind Ensemble and the Taoyuan Symphony Wind Orchestra, and has participated in many weddings, banquets, and guest performances.

Meng-Lu, born in Taipei, Taiwan, studied under Sebestien Lipman at the Queensland Conservatorium in Australia and completed her graduate studies with Susann McDonald at Indiana University, USA,  earning several prestigious scholarships and awards. She was honored with the Performer Certificate upon graduation, recognizing her outstanding performance. 

Chiu has received numerous international accolades, including First Prize at the Philipa Power Harp Competition (Australia), the Una Morgan Prize, the Bernstein Scholarship (USA), and Second Prize at the Indiana University Concerto Competition.

As a professional harpist, Meng-Lu has performed with major orchestras like the National Symphony Orchestra and Evergreen Symphony Orchestra. She was selected as a new young artist by the National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center and has since led the Taiwan Harp Association. 
In July 2025, she performed Mozart’s Concerto for Flute and Harp on tour in Taiwan and Malaysia with flutist Yew-Kia Koh and the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra,  receiving critical acclaim.

As founder of the Taiwan Harp Center and Music Director of Camac Prize Taiwan, Meng-Lu is dedicated to harp education and outreach. She provides students with a professional and inspiring learning environment, while striving to make the harp more accessible to wider audiences through concerts, competitions, and international exchange.
